About Us

Less Antman, CPA (inactive)

Less was born in the sleepy little village of New York City in 1957, but has lived in southern California since the age of 6. After graduating as class valedictorian of his high school in 1974, he attended the University of California, Berkeley, earning his degree in business administration in 1977. Less passed the CPA exam in 1978, and after receiving his CPA certificate in 1981, he split his time between his CPA practice, teaching CPA-review and continuing professional education courses to other CPAs, and writing on personal finance and accounting topics. He has also assisted Andrew Tobias as a researcher for the last five updates of Tobias’s pioneering personal-finance book, The Only Investment Guide You’ll Ever Need. In 2006 Less discontinued his teaching and accounting activities to devote himself entirely to comprehensive financial planning and asset management.

Philosophically, Less considers himself a Taoist, meaning he goes with the flow and treats life as an adventure to be experienced rather than a problem to be solved.
